· Identify and contact prospective new customers
· Recommend appropriate products and services to customers

· technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
· Lead multiple prospective customers to close sales orders at the same time

· Prepare drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs

· Maintain relationships with past clients to get continuous helpful feedback, offer new products and services, and discover and solve all ongoing client issues to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
· Possess and are able to articulate a high-level understanding of the industry, new products, and competitor offerings
· Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales
· Sell service contracts for technical or scientific products
· Attend networking events and trade shows as business demands
· Prepare sales contracts and order forms
· Negotiate details of contracts and payments
· Consult with engineers regarding technical problems with products
